I'm a good citizen!

I know I haven't written anything in such a long time, but I have really good news to share! Today we got in the car and drove to a dog fair- lots of dogs and yummy smells and LOUD noises. (Mom and I didn't like that!)
The Canine Good Citizen testing was supposed to start at 12, but Miss Joy said we could start whenever I was ready. I was ready when we got there, but Mom wasn't. Silly Mom. She thought I needed to walk around some first. I sat still while Mom and Miss Joy did the paperwork. James didn't start the video in time to see me being so very good, but I'll add the video to this post when Mom gets it onto youtube. You can see me walking close to Mom, but she was nervous and held my leash too tightly. I lay very still while Mom walked back to Miss Joy and then I ran right over to her! We practiced that LOTS while we were hiking, but that's another story! The only thing Miss Joy says we have to work on is my not pulling- but what's a dog supposed to do when his Mom walks away and leaves him in a strange place with lots of loud noises? I still passed! (I'm so glad I did, because it made Mom happy and she rubs on me lots when she's happy!)
After my testing this funny human with wings and a beak came up and took pictures with us. He smelled like a human but looked REALLY WEIRD! What do you think he was doing? They said his name is Poe.
